Dino De Laurentiis had the balls to actually crank out a sequel in the 80's. You see, Kong didn't die in the fall. However, he's in a deep coma, and one artificial heart transplant the size of a Volkswagen later, he's revived in time to chase after the recently discovered Lady Kong.
Even had the same director as the 1976 film. Rick Baker didn't sign onto this one, for obvious reasons, but Carlo Rambaldi came back. Possibly the low point in Linda Hamilton's career before T2.
Too bad MST3K never got their hands on it.
