^Nice one, Tobar. I'll send at least one!
I was able to snag the 3D BD at Best Buy for $16 with the following:
Target ad to price match from $30 to $25
Disney coupon from website to go from $25 to $20
$5 rewards zone coupon from BBy to go from $20 to $15
Tax to $16.
I'm pretty happy with that.

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM
"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.
Best Buy does price matching? So the only reason to pay retail there is laziness. Huh.

BBy has been kind of clamboring to stay competitive recently. I used to do a lot of DVD shopping there, but stopped 6 or 7 years back. Then 5 years passed and I'm not sure if I set foot in a BBy during that time. But recently, they keep having "wallet draining" sales that make me roll my eyes, walk in, and surrender my cash for things I don't really need, but can't ignore at the price!
I bought Arkham City there for $10 a couple months ago... when it was $45 at Amazon. And it doesn't hurt that they have decent sales on 3DBD.

Is it worth getting at Best Buy for the exclusive bonus disc?
I saw the cheapo SciFi Channel movie version on the shelves recently. It aired as "Princess of Mars", and for DVD has been retitled "John Carter of Mars". Talk about poking Disney in the eye!

I haven't a clue what is on the bonus disc. I mostly bought at BBy since I had the rewards zone coupon that was going to expire. The bonus disc was nice too, but I haven't opened it yet to find out what's on it and the whole of the internet seems to not know or care.

Actually, I thought this was really funny:
I saw this on a sticker on the 2D version:
"Earth Soldier fights in a War on Mars"
Or something close. Because, you know, Disney didn't quite get that message out in the marketting and they figured this info might bring in some new business.

How did Disney muck this up so badly in the marketing? I didn't even see any action figures for this.

After the movie, I immediately started to look high and low for the Imax poster: http://latimesherocomplex.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/johncarterimax_ref-for-printer.jpg?w=600&h=900
I could find it on ebay in quarter-size, which I had no interest in. But no one was selling it.
The best I could do for merchandise was spend Disney movie rewards points on the Thern talisman thingy necklace on there for my wife. It was pretty cool. (And free-ish)

I actually have two of those posters but they're both the quarter size. They were handing them out at the midnight premiere at IMAX.
It's such a great poster, I can't understand why it's not available in a larger size.
And what I meant to say is I noticed a general dearth of John Carter posters and merchanise et al.

Not surprised, Best Buy bonus discs are usually worthless.
At least John Carter got a bonus disc. All BB had for the Star Wars set was one of those fake "collectible" film frames that's never been near a projector.
I'm surprised the Indy DVD set got a bonus disc.
