I am not thrilled with The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes season 2. For a start they now have a stupid voiceover obscuring all but one guitar riff of the "Assembled We Are One" song which I had grown to enjoy. They ruined Cap's costume (again), and instead of consolidating the dynamic of the team they had in season 1, they introduce a whole new bunch of people. Probably to sell more action figures... I was just waiting for the "Michael Korvac" episode to hurry up and finish. I don't care about SWORD or Ms. Marvel or interplanetary frickin' RACCOONS DAMMIT!

Holy carp!  Is Rocket Racoon on the show now?  I must catch up!

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

Watched all of Dollhouse last week. Really enjoyed it, but I agree with those who say that it feels rushed in season 2. Especially Epitaph One and Two, you can really tell they are packing 2 seasons worth of plot into two episodes. How much better it would've been to spread those reveals out, give them room to breathe. I really could've used some more fun, filler-type episodes that played with the concept, too. I enjoyed the episode where Topher imprints Sierra as a gamer and nerd and they celebrate his birthday. More of that kind of stuff really would've helped make the epic moments stand out more. Would've loved some more time spent in the Attic, too.

The Epitaphs comics definitely help flesh out the end of the series, and show what an entire season's worth of episodes would've focused on. It would've been great television.

All in all, I would give Dollhouse an 8/10.

I'll have to check out the comics. I agree, I wish it had lived longer. I love when Victor gets imprinted with Topher, that actor is incredible at impersonating every nuance of the other actor.

Yeah, Enver Gjokaj can channel Fran Kranz so well, it's almost like they actually did imprint him...

And the Epitaphs comics are pretty good.  Definitely wish we'd gotten a full season of that instead of two episodes.

I'm on a Joss Whedon kick. I watched half of firefly, lost internet for a few months, avengers came out, loved it, recognized Joss' name, got AT&T internet (Avoid it at all costs) finished Firefly (and Serenity), loved it, read The first two trades of Astonishing X-men, Best time I've ever had reading a comic book, and am now half way through season 2 of Buffy. Fantastic so far.

Enver Gjokaj was, by far, the most impressive actor on Dollhouse. All of his imprints had very distinct touches, and his skill with accents is uncanny. But as Chainsaw and 005 said, he didn't so much impersonate Fran Kranz as channel the guy. Every mannerism and vocal inflection was dead on. Seriously loved it. I wasn't generally wowed by Eliza Dushku. She's hot and everything, and kicks ass, but I think Dollhouse revealed a lack of range in her that I was disappointed by. It didn't help playing against Enver the Versatile.

The series finale for House (MD or not MD?) was a bit of let down from this viewers perspective.

Not really because of Lisa Edelstein not making a surprise appearance (even though I imagine the episode had space for one) but because it lacked any real ambition.

Over the years we have had some real WTF moments which really stretched the medium (some may say to the point where it never regained it's figure) but imaginative telly none the less.

Very last episodes are always a challenge but if one show deserved to throw a really 'out there' graduation party it should have been this one.

This felt like a bit of watered down retread of season 5 rather than the end of season 8 and the show in general.

yeah, it felt a bit flat. I did like the final scene though.

Started watching Sherlock.

I had low expectations knowing that it's made by writers of Dr Who - but unlike Dr Who it's actually good.

;)

Well if they will keep concentrating on that show-off and his 'girlfriends'.

Them's fightin' words!

Though I agree that Sherlock is absolutely fantastic television.

Even the title is grammatically incorrect.

Surely it should be Doctor Whom?

Game of Thrones Season 2, episode 9.

Blackwater.

Holy fucking shit.

Maybe not quite as epic as in the book, but it's the most intense, cinematic battle I've ever seen on e television series.

More than lived up to the hype.

"If anyone dies without blood on his sword, I'll rape his corpse!"

Best episode of the series to date.  It certainly benefited from being written by George R.R. Martin, the author of the books, and from focusing entirely on a single story/location.

4 jars of wildfire out of 4.

Doctor Who is cheese and you know it. I only really tolerate Tom Baker era and even that was cheese [less so than the modern stuff, though].

Watched more Sherlock. Need to get up to speed before Breaking Bad begins again.

Everyone who watches Doctor Who knows it is absolute cheese. I hate to say it, because I thought it looked extremely lame for a very long time before giving it a chance, but it can be really fun cheese.

Sherlock on the other hand is absolutely fantastic and one of my favorite things to ever be put on film. Though I don't feel any episode has managed to be quite as perfect and true to Conan Doyle as A Study in Pink was. I wish it had maintained that quality, but even so it is still brilliant!

And mentioning Breaking Bad reminds me how disappointed I am they are stretching the last season out over two years. Seriously? We have to wait until the summer of 2013 for the last eight episodes of the season? Might as well just tell the truth and admit they are two seasons of 8 episodes each.

Of course it's cheese, but as CP3S said, it's a hell of a lot of fun!  What's wrong with liking cheese?

The show is a broad buffet (it's not just cheese and when cheese dominates the menu it's down to bad management).

True re: Sherlock - But I do like that it's an actual series rather than a bunch of somewhat consistent storylines.

and as far as cheese goes - you guys can enjoy it all you want but it's [Dr Who] just not something I consider watching. It doesn't float my boat.

getting back to Sherlock, just finished series 1. The reveal of M was pretty cool. Looking forward to checking out series 2.

It's also comforting after the disappointment that was the second Sherlock Holmes movie.

Miles O'Brien: "We can sit here arguing 'til we're blue in the face..."

Shouldn't using this expression in Starfleet get you sent for sensitivity training? What an outrage.

With the terrible things McCoy called Spock, I don't think Starfleet has such training anymore.

Finished the first season of Sherlock. It's pretty fantastic. How 'bout that Moriarty, eh?

I too watch and love Doctor Who. It's simply fun.

Sad to read that The Fades and Dirk Gently have been cancelled.

The last episode of Game Of Thrones should have been two long episodes (too many places of interest were visited too briefly).

Still good stuff though.

Dirk Gently was fun but that doesn't surprise me.

started watching the new Avatar series - Legend of Korra.

I don't usually watch these types of shows and I never fully got into Avatar but i'm enjoying this one, it's good fun.
