*serious face ON*

Okay, guys, enough is enough. Sure, Alanis may have provided examples of irony that weren't very ironic, to say the least. So what? Doesn't everyone fumble the grammatical ball every now and then? And anyway, this little game of mockery is getting old. Why act as if this is still 1995, as if Alanis hasn't released anything since? The girl has written many more songs and released many more albums since "Ironic" first debuted, so can't you comment on any of those? Has no one any kind words for the upbeat "So Pure", which pays tribute to her dance pop days, or the melancholy "Flinch", with its heartbreaking Country Rock style? Or perhaps disdain for "Knees of My Bees", which is pure senselessness at it's worst (or best, depending on how you perceive things) or "Are You Still Mad?" with its incessant whininess? Must we stay in a needlessly irreverent rut?

*serious face OFF*

Alanis' son was born on Christmas; imagine all the presents he's bound to get.
