People will gravitate to whichever cover suits their particular tastes. I like Rikter's covers, they're really well done, but I'm not a big fan of Photo Montage covers that have become the standard for movie covers recently. I almost always prefer the movie posters, be it the teaser posters, the official one sheet, or what have you. For balance, I wanted to do that, but I also am not a huge fan of the TPM one sheet. I've always liked the ROTJ teaser poster of the single lightsaber held aloft, so I decided to see if they'd merge successfully, and they did. Then there's the back of the cover. Some people like to have descriptions not only of the film, but of what went into it, or what people said aboiut it. My personal preference is that less is more. A brief synopsis of the film, without the extraneous information weighing things done is my style. Hence, with my custom Star Wars covers, I always go with the opening crawl as the description on the back.

To my mind, all the custom covers have merits of their own, so it all comes down to what will fit best with your own sensibilities. Lots of people want ink-savers, I prefer black.

What would be cool is if someone had the space to host all of the cover designs, just set up a Star Wars custom cover depot.
