Finally got around to seeing the original Planet of the Apes now that it's on netflix. As amazing as I've always heard. I also appreciate 'Rise of the planet of the Apes' that much more now that I get the references.

Also saw Serenity now that I've finally finished Firefly. (I went a few months without internet) It adequately ties up all of the loose ends. I'm sure I didn't experience the same excitement as the people who waited years for it but Firefly is now in my unsorted top five shows of all time.

Watched Religulous. It expresses all of my feelings about religion better and more concise than I'd ever be able to. From now on when I get in religion arguments I'll just refer them to this movie.

Edit: Also Avengers. Awesome.

Edit: Oh yeah, The original Alien as well as Aliens appeared on TV during those dark ages. Alien is now my favorite film of all time.
