WOW!  Some terrific additional enhancements to that whole sequence since your 'workprint' adywan.  The graphics on Vader's viewscreen and on the rebel's tactical screens look wonderful, and the new rebel 'cave' entrance shot and the replacement 'snow plains' horizon shot both look great too.  And it's also neat to now see the tiny Transports and Ion Cannon opening in the distance as the first Transport takes off towards us.

Thanks for this unexpected preview, and good luck with your hoped-for move to a larger home.

@ doubleofive - thanks for your useful comparison shots once again.  Until I saw those, I had never noticed this particular 'continuity' flub before:  Vader's viewscreen actually changes shape!  In the long-shots, it has vertical sides...but in the close-ups of it, the sides are angled.  The shape is now consistent throughout, thanks to adywan.  :)

Yes but, maybe Vader would take some level of satisfaction in seeing the blip of the EKG level off; not to mention the satisfaction of seeing an additional visual of fear.

Although, I'm sure he can "sense" such things, being that fear is an emotion leading one to the dark side anyway.

As for the Empire itself, you are absolutely correct.  Their employees are just numbers to them.  Why do you think stormtrooper armor is designed to allow the wearer to be killed in a single shot?  You should hear about their "retirement" plan.  Let's just say that it would be better to work until one dies of natural causes...

Glad to see the transport escape was toned down slightly. Not including the Star Destroyer laser blast sounds makes a huge difference. I still mourn for the X-Wing pilot who had to die even though he/she didn't originally. I guess this is the butterfly that will greatly affect the Star Wars timeline when we reach Return of the Jeid.

As for Darth Vader's the new display graphics? Hmm.... Yes! I like it! 

I haven't been on here in such a long time. Hows everything going? Is the May 2012 release date still a go?

They are saying a "summer" release which means anytime from May through August.  I think May is out of reach due to a hard drive crash on April 1st.  However, I would think June or July would not be out of the question.

At least, that is my understanding.  Am I right guys?

Ah, would have been cool if it was released on May 21st, the 32nd anniversary of TESB.

Or my birthday, May 23rd, but, I'm not holding my breath.

Was just watching the clip in super slow motion so I could take in all the changes and I noticed a VFX glitch that Ady may want to sort if he hasn't already.

At 02:44 after the second Ion blast hits the top part of the Star Destroyer (with the two balls) for a split second, the upper part of this section shifts ever so slightly as if it's slightly misaligned from whatever manipulation of clean plates ady has done. Blink and you'll miss it. Perhaps someone else can confirm this for us?

I've also been noticing that the ion cannon itself seems a bit shaky....it doesn't seem as locked down as all the other elements in the shot

EDIT: Also, Peter Madlener on FB noticed that at 2:24 in the clip, the Star Destroyer's 4 smaller engines are not lit, and yet at 2:45 they're lit and get deactivated with all the other engines as the ion blasts hit

The clip was awesome, can't wait!

I noticed that too, but it looks to me like it's rotating ever-so-slightly to lock on to the SD.

Well, since these employees are only pretending to die as per the following video clip, it would take quite a bit of coordination for them to dummy up said screens and show it flatlining on the very second that Perkins falls to the floor ...

Excellent clip! The new ion cannon shots look terrific!

The clip is incredible. I did notice some strange stuff on the star destroyer in the upper right-hand corner at 0:23ish. The lighting on it seems to be flickering or something, and the motion of the ship itself is a tad wavery. I can overlook the motion, but the shadows are what really threw me off. I hate to nitpick, but that's what we're here for, I suppose :)
