I'd suggest having him get interrupted saying one of his own lines than a Ben lift. That'd be perfect.

I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

Is it possible to tweak the colors of the planet out the rear windows to match up with Coruscant?

It also might be really funny if Palpatine is the one who does the despicable deed. The shot where his back is to the camera in his office in ROTS, looking at a computer display could work. And he utters a hearty "Yes!" during the final Anakin/Dooku fight.

I understand all these reactions and don't blame you one bit, but surely you realize what I've set up here...he can now be an integral part of AOTR and ROTR.

See above post.  Ben's line is there to set up what is to come.

Suppose so, but probably not on my end.

Several people on FE mentioned I need to show someone giving the order to fire and I agree.  But I hadn't thought of using Palps, and I like it quite a bit.  I'll have to see if I can find some dialogue to use with that ROTS shot.

EDIT: Just realized I'll probably have to change Corde's voice if I do that, because it might be confusing to go from Palps giving the order to using his voice right after that for Corde.  But I can probably find someone else to use for Corde's voice.

Or just use Palpy's evil laughter?

Off the top of my head, Zeus says a similar line about destiny in the original Clash of the Titans.

Don't own that one, though I do have a bit of nostalgia for it.

It doesn't need to be about destiny necessarily, it could be anything that is funny.

Yes. I see what you did there... :)

Now he can be "more powerful than you can possibly imagine!"

Is Governor Tarkin in Ep. II or III? He could be doing the bit from Ep. IV where he is about to fire on Yavin IV... That way, Corde could still have Palpy's voice.

I spotted the DVD for three bucks at Big Lots recently if that helps any.

Are there any other movies in your collection with Ralph Brown that could supply needed dialogue for Mr. Olie if needed?

No other Ralph Brown movies.  I used to own Alien 3 on DVD but sold it when I bought the Blu set and I don't have a Blu burner.

In other news, I've abandoned the idea of having Duke Dooku sing all his lines. It's just too much work for not enough payoff. I'm currently ripping all my LOTR discs instead...

I like Duke Dooku's lines from LOTR! :D

Obi's droid needs to comment on the fact the antenna is made from a colander. ;)

Time for another subtitle contest!

In the original AOTC, there is the following sequence: R2 receives message from Obi-Wan, Ani arrives at the Lars homestead with his dead mother, Ani and Padme have an awful discussion in the garage, Shmi has a funeral.  Because I wanted to cut out the garage scene, but the transition from Ani arriving with his mother to the funeral didn't work very well, I decided to show R2 trying to decipher Obi-Wan's message twice.

TL;DR version: I'm showing a slightly modified version of the R2 scene, followed by Ani arriving (no edits yet, shown for context only), the second R2 scene, and then the funeral.  The second R2 scene contains a subtitle "YOUR SUBTITLE HERE."

In TRM, doubleofive won the first subtitle contest with "One does not simply walk into Theed" and got a special end credit for it.  Once again, whomever comes up with the best subtitle will get an end credit.  Good luck!

Here, please.  I want the pleasure of mocking you. ;-)

"Flag on the moon?"

"Find the shard?"

"Beware of Sleestak?"

“Kenneth, what is the frequency?”

It might be a good idea to make Obi's transmission totally garbled as Artoo is trying to make it out.
