The bits with Baroness T suffering dementia which make up a huge chunk of the piece were out of place in film based on such a character.
A prologue and a coda would have got that side of things across perfectly well.
As for the meat of the piece the television films The Long Walk To Finchley (2008), Margaret (2009) and The Falklands Play (2002) did almost every scene much better.
Despite it's big star and it's cinematic release it's still a television play more than a piece of cinema.
