At the beginning, all the guys are down on their luck just like the 1st (but shouldn't they be heroes at this point? they did save the world after all and that seemed appreciated at the end of the 1st film...) The hotel sequence from the original is replace by a court room scene, the marshmallow man is replaced by a walking Statue of Liberty I really could go on and on. It's everything shitty Hollywood sequels are known and loathed for.

I liked how the third sequel tied them all together. Or at least how it was supposed to. It was kind of ruined when Sigourney Weaver decided not to return until it was too late and they had already replaced her with Alyssa Milano. But you can still tell how the story was supposed to tie together with her.
