What's the story of the Hildebrandt poster? — Page 2

It's a little plain for my tastes. And it hardly relates to the movie at all. :p

While we're on Return of the Jedi, check out this poster from Hungary.

I'm loving the weirdness factor here. Its like Star Wars meets Salvador Dali.

Return Of The Jedi really could have done with the inclusion of that weird lizard person.

What?

That's no pig monster, (I should know I once walked to India with one).

I never cared all that much for either the Jung or Hildebrandt posters, though I
do have the '82 re-release poster, which re-uses the Jung artwork. I got the poster mainly because that's the year I first saw the film, and it has a nice silvery-blue metallic background.

I still love the White/Struzan '78 "circus" poster best. It's a masterpiece, imo.

Struzan's the man.

Yes, this is just a shameless plug for the Scooby-Doo villains avatar theme. Follow the link in my signature to get yours if you want to join in. Sorry I couldn't do everybody, but I started at the bottom of the barrel and worked my way up; so if you're not there it is probably a compliment. If you are missing and really want one send me a PM, there's a couple left I can do.

Ooh mine's even thematically related, gotta do it. thanks man.

I'm all about the style C, it's bold and colorful and really conveys how much the movie is about, uh, shooting people. Although it's interesting how strong and distinct that original Jung image of Luke and Leia became.
