They have Iris... I don't have any of these devices.
If I want to speak to someone I know over a distance I just raise my voice.
Fellow Geeks, Loan me your Ears (which have been listening to synthesized voice produced on an Android Device)!
Does anyone know of any good text to speech apps on android? For reading webpages, e-mails or other text to me in the car whilst I drive?
Thanks!

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

What, it doesn't have Siri?

Why not just make one of the kids read them to you?
I have a feeling this relates to his desire for a Secret History of Star Wars audio book, which I have also hoped for. I've had the same hope for the OT novels, but alas, I'm pretty sure every OT audio book is abridged to make it more closely resemble the films, thus losing much of the charm of what made them different.
I don't know of any Android apps since I'm rather behind the times when it comes to that technology, but it seems to me that you could use a decent program on your computer that could read the text, record it, and put the audio files on your player. A little lengthier, but functional option.
EDIT: First thing that Google showed, and it seems quite promising!

Related only in the sense that there are lots of things I don't quite manage time to read, but to which I would have time in my daily commute to listen.
SHoSW The Audiobook, an OT.com production, would actually take more time for me to work on than just to sit down and read... but I figured there are some people here that might listen to it but would never get around to reading it.

They used to have time to read to me... but now, they're too busy slaving away in my kitchen. Since the other "help" left.
