Once, when I was a kid, back in '96 or so, I was lying in bed, waiting to fall asleep, when I thought I heard a voice address me. When I turned over, though, there was no one near me or even in the room. I doubt it was someone calling me from another room, because it sounded pretty close.

This is the closest thing to a paranormal experience I've ever been through. Since nothing like that ever happened before or since while living in that house, I tend to write it off as a brain fart or some sort or misattributation.
