No one suggested Walkingdork "started a fire". He said he is tired of "putting out fires" and I pointed out that he has done nothing to try to put any fires out.
I wasn't suggesting he should be either. They aren't his fires to put out. Earlier on I did make the suggestion that he shouldn't poke his head into ancient history he doesn't understand by suggesting someone unignore someone they have obviously put on ignore for reasons perfectly valid to themselves, and which may even be a sore spot for them, as it was for Warb. What I said there was filled with my agitation that all this crap that had been dormant for a good while was being needlessly dug back up. I never thought or suggested he should have scoured through the archives to read every bit of history between each and every current member of the forum.
I hold nothing against Walkingdork, nor have I had any problem with him. I am quite fond of him, I have a lot of respect for him, and as expressed a few posts ago, I really do hope this whole mess doesn't drive him out of Off Topic (and I was really glad to hear him say that it wouldn't).

ABC, I hate to say it, but long ago you sunk from member status in my mind to that of a troll. I wasn't insulting you to "refresh your mind", I was just providing you with the amount of respect that I feel you have earned from me over the years. If you are going to act like shit, don't be surprised when people treat you like shit.
Admitting that probably isn't going to make me any more popular with the general off topic population, but that doesn't really bother me. I feel fine being completely honest about it and not hiding behind any bullshit.
If you go back and look, you'll notice that I treated you with a fair deal of respect in threads where you were making real discussion, and treated you a great deal harsher in threads that you were just bullshitting random stuff in for attention. You've been around as XYZ for a little while now, from first seeing that user name I assumed it was you, but you were acting respectful, so I treated you with respect. It wasn't until after I pointed you out to the others and you started acting like your old self again and posting trollish posts in every other topic that I started being a dick to you.
