Even now (let alone 7 years ago), CGI doesn't look real. At least not for things that aren't real, if you know what I mean. Something really commonplace might actually look more real in CGI because we're trained not to pay attention to natural details. Something like a massive city-world with a huge dome building and a spaceship will look fake unless it's real - like a model.

I don't think A New Hope would work for me. They don't really have any usable angles of the Blockade Runner.

But in the end, yes. It is a pretty insignificant shot.
