XyZ, I was not replying to a specific post, but all your posts.  Perhaps you were just teasing (over and over and over), and yes, it's the Internet, but apparently it was causing Warbler distress, and I for one don't enjoy reading all this crap, whether he reads it or not.

Yes, Bingowings, who cares, it's the Internet, and I'm sure it could be said in many, many more words ;)  But look guys, we come here to enjoy ourselves and discuss Star Wars and other topics we find entertaining or enlightening.  Collective and ongoing harassment take away from that pleasure.  You have every right to be a jerk, and I have every right to tell you to knock it off.  It detracts from not only Warbler's enjoyment, but others'.

I don't mean to cause offense to anyone (but it's the Internet, right, so no one should get offended).  I just want my experience as well as others' to be pleasant.

Warbler, I do know that Bingo's posts often make little sense at times, but I honestly have never gotten offended by him.  I actually enjoy his bizarre humor.  Considering you're unblocking his individual posts in order to read and respond, you should probably just unblock him.  He's really not too bad a guy.

Here's the difference between internet and real life in my opinion:

I am on IRC a lot of the time for myspleen stuff (visit us and chat awhile #myspleen on dejatoons) and for a while my old girlfriend was also on chatting with me and myspleen folks while I was at work ( mind you most of my post here are also while I'm at work).

A member on the channel made some sexual remarks towards my girlfriend a couple times and after awhile she said to me in so many words that it bothered her to some degree. It was all in fun but still, it creeped her out a little

Now in real life, I'm definitely going to confront this man and it could get physical, right? But since it was online I just asked him to ease up on jokes when she's around and I told her something like "yeah, it's not cool if his jokes are directed towards you and I will say something to him...but it is the internet and if you can't handle some of the things being said on the channel then you probably shouldn't come on as often."

That's the difference in my opinion.

I should point that this guy making the jokes is a someone I've known online for 6 years. I consider him a friend and a couple years ago I even visited him in person when I drove through his town on a family trip. He's a nice guy and he makes a lot sexual jokes. He's pretty much and unnamed Admin on the site.

100% agree, although I can usually understand what he's saying and I enjoy what I don't. Bingowings, is one of the coolest OT guy around.

He's got a point. Come on Warbler, HUG IT OUT! Worst case scenario he offends you and you put him back on ignore.

there is no way in hell I will unblock him.   others may think he is cool and whatnot,  I think he's a jerk.  

Darth_ender and walkingdork, you don't know the history between bingowings and myself.    You don't how many times I have tried to forgive him(even though he's never said he was sorry) and taken him off ignore, only to have to put him back on ignore later.     I'm done trying.    Yeah, I decided this once to try talking with him.   It was like talking to a brick wall,   he doesn't want to admit the slightest fault in all of this.   I'm done.   Maybe I also need to take a break from the forum for a while.   I don't know.

Don't take a break from the forum! I'd miss you. I know we disagree a lot politically, often times very strongly, but you are very high on my list of fellow members I care the most for. Holy shit, I did not see this thread coming. I read from the linked post until the end of the thread. I would never have guessed some of the people involved in this thread and the roles/sides they took. Too weird. I really have no opinion on the controversy though since I don't know how that story ended and I did not read the earlier pages, just the last half of the thread where everyone fought about it.

Warbler, I understand that the back and forth in that thread and other threads that came after have made it hard to get along with some people. And although I have been sticking up for Bingo this entire time, I will say that I agree he seems to carry a degree of dickishness at times in that thread. But all that was a year ago and I don't see Bingo doing any of that anymore. It was a heated situation, and everyone says shitty stuff in those situations. Besides I think Bingo was just trying to hold back the lynch mob if there was even the slightest possibility the man in question was innocent. Whether you decide to ignore him or not I think you need to forgive the people involved. It doesn't have to be public at all, but I think holding on to the past is only hurting you. I like you man, I hope you stick around, but you have to let go sometimes and find a way to relax.

Now let's end the drama and hug it out.

If he wants to prevent more pictures being created from his avatar then I understand, but I think the pic you made was funny. It's not a offensive picture or anything.

 We agree. I laughed all the time I made it and laughed again reading your post. :-)

But that's not the problem anyway. The problem is only between Warbler and Warbler. Now I'm not a monster and I don't want to add to his distress. Because unfortunately that's what humour, as innofensive as it is, can do to someone who hasn't that sense at all. :/
