if it is a delusion, you can chalk it up to my childhood.    I was the victim of multiple bullies for multiple years.    It is one of the many reasons that I have a low self esteem and  one of the many reasons my social skills suck.

My approach is when possible laugh it off.

Vindictive people don't like being laughed at it diminishes their sense of entitlement and upends their attention seeking.

Funny that because I thought I was trying and failing to get you to see the sense of not constantly hounding the guy.

That way he could have had the space to come clean if he didn't have Cancer (something that was never proved) or feel less harassed and depressed to get the documentation he needed to raise the funds he said he required if he did have Cancer.

Instead of seeing the sense in the suggestion you kept up the pressure and when everyone on the thread saw how pointless the situation was you moved your campaign onto other threads.

This particular thread is now also now pointless and I shan't post on it again.

and I had the opposite opinion and made clear what that opinion was.    Its ok to state your opinion on what might make Dayv come clean and on whether or not my approach was the right one.  You went beyond that.   You went on to criticize me personally.   You implied that only reason I was angry in that thread was because there was something wrong with me, and that I needed to get a life.

only thing  I recall doing was stating in the random thoughts thread that I was deleting my sig, as result people using it against me again in the cancer thread.   You then decided to make fun of me at a time when it was crystal clear there and that was when I had had enough of you and lost my temper.   You were told by multiple people to leave me alone and yet you kept after me.

Can I say something here?

Gentlemen, this is the internet. The internet. Full of many, many people who will say whatever they want and get away with it. They don't care.

The best thing to do is to not care also. There are a lot better things to do than to get all worked up over something someone says over the internet. I'm not even talking to someone specific here. It's just common sense.

If it bothers you when someone takes a jab at you, go outside, drive to the store, WHO CARES about what some guy behind a computer said in what is usually another part of the world? The chances are very slim you will ever meet them in person.

Just look at xhonzi. He's ignoring me because he doesn't like my language and that I watch movies that he would disapprove his children of seeing, despite the fact that there's a big difference in maturity between an eight year old and someone who's nearly fifteen. Will that change his opinion? No. Do I care that much? No.

That said, there's no reason to go on the internet just to piss people off. Like Frink says, if you say that shit to someone in person, you should go get a psychiatric evaluation.

I think that's all I have to say.

Oh yeah, and I love all of you guys. From Warbler to Bingo, and everyone in between. Well, maybe not two by four, but he's out of the picture.

I don't get why anyone tries to change anyone's mind here.  I admit it's an easy trap to fall into, as I do it myself once in a while, but...
