What vintage is your PC? I recently upgraded mine... the audio in the new rig is some onboard Dell nonsense with no digital connections whatsoever, but my old - albeit dead - PC still has its marvellous Soundblaster Audigy Platinum with SPDIF in/out via both coaxial and optical. I don't have PCI slots anymore, but if you do then the card is yours!
