If you want to ask someone about it, I'd suggest Frink.  I think knows enough about the situation.

Honestly I don't really remember.  I sometimes have no idea what Bingo is saying either, but I just don't worry about it.

Sorry but the thread's goal is not reached yet for Walkingdork.

It's called: "Let's Hug It Out" Thread (aka Let's be friends, warbler)...

and not: "Let's Hug It Out" Thread (aka please don't ignore me, warbler)

... I'm still waiting then.

Thing is... There's no situation. The only situation in such a virtual and superficial space is only a creation of one's mind. Hence Bingo's post about puppets was so true to me even if I interpreted it my way.

I don't always get Bingo's posts neither but I mostly get the wavelenght. Rare gases are pretty hard to catch, that's what makes these precious.

These elements are generally considered unreactive, because they have closed-shell configurations. All the contrary of War-Blur's over-reactivity.

... Only a statement here, not even an opinion. Why a few here behave like they must have an opinion towards any user, trying to influence the others ? THAT is beyond me.

With DAYV Warb's beef is he believes he lied about having Cancer based on the testimony of one person, they were friends for a long time (both of them were giggly chums during their OT.COM mass exodus attempt/ failed coup d'etat of 2006ish) and he feels especially betrayed because he set up a thread trying to raise money for DAYV's treatment.

DAYV freely offered refunds of donations, offered proofs which Warb believes are fake and posted pictures of himself with tubes and wires going hither and tither.

So that's them

With me, I posted a picture of an Ice-Cream van on the politics board at the wrong time and he has hated my guts ever since.

He has wished death on me, thrown more expletives at me than I can care to mention and accused me of hating his country just for the LULZ.

He also uncovered the truth about me being everyone on these forums.

I in turn have accused him of eating the mice he takes such great pleasure in killing and announcing to the universe.

Oh and I thought it wasn't right to accuse DAYV of being a fraud based on the evidence of one person. To the point that I lampooned the whole situation to very little applause.

Warb is a complex person, he is a person with complexes, I love him, I wish he would stop eating mice though.

And Bingo's posts are supposed to be confusing?

I had missed that puppet comment. Do I look like a puppet?!!

They are sometimes supposed to be confusing in the vain hope they will prompt further enquiry.

Most of the time I understand what I'm typing so if I can follow it I know all of you can, for obvious reasons.

oh, I didn't realize you had forgotten.   That's alright.    Maybe someone else remembers.   Of course I am sure Bingo himself remembers, but his recollection might be biased in his favor.    perhaps maybe C3PS or Gaffer Tape might remember.    I guess it doesn't matter.

No one has to take sides, so there's no "favor", no judgement needed when there's no trial.

If you want to ignore somebody, you just have to click the ignore button without the need to shout it out loud and write the History of your life out of it. That reminds me your "POLL, Should Warb leave the forum?" thread some time ago !... Why do you need others opinion to live your life ?

Ah, yeah, that's true... He can't read that...

It's painful to see a guy harming himself out of nothing like this. The ones Warb hate the most may be the ones who tried the most to help him at some point because they cared seeing him blow up that invisible wall instead of repeating the same circle all over again.

Things haven't  changed.

Warb won't be able to hug it out with anybody as long as he won't hug it out with himself... Definitely.

G'Kar is a sexy Millennium Falcon, Neal is a bit too plastic for my taste.

In re XyZ's post,

I don't know, does Warbler hate anyone? Sure, he may not like me or you or Bill, Pete, and Sam, but there is no reason he must. I agree drama is dumb but there are people who poke him with sharpened sticks like teddy bears on Endor. It does seem to be well-intentioned poking and not because people don't like him. So whatever hard feelings he has, at least those he ignores appear to wish him well. I have my own things going on, seemingly ever on the cusp of disaster. Plenty I'd hate to be judged on (especially where deserved). I might need to go the fight club route with myself. Anyhow, at least the people puppets care, Warbler :D

We all have our on-screen persona.

Mine is an irreverent, camp alien time traveler with megalomaniac tendencies, Warb's is different.

I don't live the dream... always.

If he wants to see me as his nemesis, ignore me or wish me death on screen I have no problem with that.

It's his internet.

when did I say I didn't like you?

Anyway, I don't know what abc said, but hate is a strong word.   All I can say is that I put people on ignore that I just can't seem to get along with.   Maybe I am at fault in all these situations, maybe I am not.  I just figure the best way to avoid the fights is to put them on ignore so I don't have to deal with them anymore.

very true,  for some reason I seem to be a good target to some people.

Mrebo said:

sometimes it is, but I think many times it is just done for sake of having fun at my expense.  Many times I think it is done just for the sake of trolling.   I also think it is done because some people on here like to be mean.

somehow, I doubt that.

I'm on hold with Jerry Springer right now, he says there's a spot on the show for Tuesday, April 17. Does that work for everyone? Let me know ASAP.

Reasonable, best way to leave it.

Possibly all true. Like Bingo suggests, in part its because internet interaction doesn't seem really real. In some sense we're "just puppets" (see his post on page 1 to see what I was referencing) and it's easy not to take a lot of things that seriously. Even in the course of trying to be helpful on the internet, it is easy to dispense with all kinds of etiquette. We're addressing representations of people. So even the rudest comment has a superficial quality to it. It's not that people are truly insincere or rude. There is an expectation that others can take what is said with a grain of salt. But you're right that the ignore function exists for a reason. I have no use for it but my puppet has thick felt.

I wish you the best in whatever problems you have.

Thank you, thank you :)

That garnered a literal laugh out loud... thanks :)

And thanks for your summary of events... I did catch a bit of the curfuffle around DAYV awhile back, but I was foggy on the specifics, and I didn't know Warbler was as involved as he was in the whole thing.

that is only a very very small piece of my problems with Bingowings.   As I said,  his recollection of events is very biased in his favor.

I'll consider reading his post but I just don't get this "puppet" idea.

not for me it isn't.  I am not sure where people get the idea that good manners stops at the computer keyboard.

incorrect, we are addressing people.   I know you are a real human being with a heart and feelings, and you know the same about me.

that maybe you're opinion.  But some sure seem rude to me.

some things can be taken with a grain of salt and others can't.   I think there  should also be an expectation of reasonable civility and politeness and consideration.

so I guess you telling me that I am thin skinned?  you wouldn't be the first to tell me that.
