Call it pedantic, but if someone asks "Do I like Star Wars?" I respond, yes I like the movie of that name released in the 70s.
At that stage people catch on, that I am not answering the question as if they asked me about the franchise it then became. If they don't catch on I make it clear I'm talking about just a single movie. It's my way of sticking to the facts, not what the media, Lucas, and the general populace have "shaped" Star Wars to represent. Why is this important? Because I don't want people to mistake my answer for meaning anything other than I intended.
I also love "The Empire Strikes Back" and while not as strong I always liked "Return of the Jedi" purely because I enjoyed seeing Luke come into his own and the longer, improved space battles.
Bar that I liked the original Expanded Universe novels from the early to mid-90s, there is nothing else I can really say.
