Well then, in 1 more hour I will have all 3 films rendered, but only Star Wars is encoded, then we will start work on the "bad frames" in Jedi, which should not take long at all, then encode the video, which definitely does not take long anymore on my new PC, then we move on to the worst of the 3, Empire! I don't want to jinx us lol but things are moving along pretty smoothly at the moment, at least the parts You_Too and I can control that is.

So that is where we are at for now.

Yea me to, but keep in mind we are waiting on updated menu files because of now including subs, and waiting on updated 5.1 audio files, and I even contacted the guy that did the original artwork to see if he can update the artwork to include the subs, because none of the artwork that was done before obviously included this so to properly present these now, they should all be updated.

Are there any links to the dvd and blu ray covers on page 1?

No, all covers get released with the projects they are meant for, I see no reason to share them on their own, so if you dl'd the V3 set, it was included, if you were one that received the BLU V1 from me, then I provided you a download link for all the BD covers.

Awesome news! I'm glad to hear it, and can't wait to see the results

If you have kept any documentation of these 'bad frames' would be interested in seeing what you've found.  In other sections of these forums, frame glitches are being looked at for various reasons.  What are you definitions of 'bad frames'?  are they glitches like the Tantive orange items or glue frames in ESB, or are they results of the original digital compression to the GOUT source?

In this project, "bad frames" are frames with stuff that appear suddenly and distracts from the film itself, things that shouldn't be there. We decided that we will only fix the most visible ones, since fixing all of them would require long, hard work that we're just not willing to do. It's difficult enough to fix all the ones we've already found.

Examples from SW:

So don't expect the movies to be free of bad frames, but expect to see less of them than in the raw GOUT. :)

I was going to say Zombie Alec Guinness.  That's gonna give me nightmares.

I personally disagree with getting rid of the Alec Guinness Orgasm Face frame. I think it's the most important frame in the entire first film.

Right, three of the four images You_Too posted suffer a lower edge which is blown out as most likely the next frame has a very bright explosion.  The light bleeds between frames causing the neighboring frame to change color along the bottom or top edge.

Not sure what's caused the error in the R5/Luke/3po shot.  It's close in size and shape to a Reel Cue Marker, but it's not punched out, just a modified ring.  weird.

I wouldn't call these errors, it's glue and tape visible from the splices, and I'm pretty sure the blue in the bottom corner of the shot of R2 and the Jawas are part of the animation/special effects work, there are similar cases of shortcomings and side effects of the animation work seen where it shouldn't be in other parts of the films.

We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.

Hey, can anyone PM me the disc label and cover images for the v3 of the original Star Wars? I still have the Empire and Jedi labels, but I lost the original's somewhere.

Hey Dark_Jedi, do you still need Blu-Ray blanks for testing purposes? Again, apologies if this question's already been asked!

Super excited for this release.  Thank you Dark_Jedi and You_Two.  This project is defiantly a labor of love and, by the looks of the screenshots, looks to be a colorful blast of GOUTness.  Keep up the good work!

OK, for those interested, I have PM'd IcyFlamez and Walkingdork at Spleen to see if I can post samples there, I will delete them once the main file is released, I do not trust file hosting sites much anymore and I think this would be the fastest way to share and get comments and feedback, I actually have a sample just about ready to go I am just waiting on those 2 mentioned above to get back to me.

So if all goes well, this is where the samples will be, the Star Wars sample is just under 19 minutes long.

That's fantastic news! Count me excited. I can't wait to see said samples. Once again, thanks for all of the hard work

Cool!  I'm looking forward to those 19 minutes of Project Blu goodness.

Well still waiting on PM responses, and I know I have said this before on BLU V1, but I absolutely do not think that the "bonus DVD's" can look any better than this, the color is fantastic, and all the bad frames we fixed\fixing is just unbelievable, this new lossless avi file will make a great 720p version and a new DVD version.

I also want to personally Thank Ady for You_Too and myself for fixing a string of really, really bad frames that we(You_Too and I) could not fix, so Thank a ton Ady, you are a true artist!
