my player skips like crazy, i had to use a friends.
also i had 2 sets of discs, and they had glitches too.
digitally fixing them made it a lot better to watch.
the thing is you don't gain anything by watching it
from an actual machine. the resolution is the same,
the sound is the same (or mono)... and it wears
out your players needle everytime you play it.
yes, having an 'authentic' experience of watching
the actual discs is cool (and having to swap sides),
etc.. just like with laserdiscs. but for people that
will never have access to them, this is just as good.
also goes for 8mm/16mm versions. i'll never have
a projector, so i'm grateful for puggo preserving
those.
