The design is definitely cool, we agree on that. As I mentioned before, the Executor is technically longer as well, so in that way the Executor does outdo it. And since we'd never define weapons capacity onscreen, who knows which is really the more powerful vessel? It just doesn't seem logical to me for the Emperor to arrive in a cool looking coupe while Vader arrives in a stretch limo.

I should note that when I first learned of the Eclipse, most folks thought that the Executor was only 8 km long, and the Eclipse was twice that. Again, it just seemed like someone was overdoing it. Once it became clear from comparing model sizes and how they are portrayed on screen that the Executor was around 19 km in length, I actually came to like the Eclipse more because it now appeared as an alternative and not just another more=better situation. That's what I hope for with the Eclipse: an alternative, and only briefly shown. I agree, I don't want too much. I just want a cameo, and then it takes off.
