as a seven year old watching Star Wars for the very first time back in 1977, i never thought for a moment Han Solo was a cold blooded killer, I did however think that he was a character who may or not be trusted, but as far as Greedo was concerned it was kill or be killed, it was the exact same character defining moment as Indiana Jones shooting the arab swordsman after displaying his fancy sword skills in RAIDERS .

as for them not having enough time to do Yoda in CGI for Phantom Menace , the first time around WTF?? how many secondary Cgi characters appear in that film? Jar Jar, Boss Nass, Watto, Battle droids,Jabba the Hutt , Sebulba and the entire pod race, and you couldn't find time for YODA?? what a load of bullshit!
