Actually, this one maybe has some potentially useful footage.  Sorry to be stuck on the same note, guys.  It's just all good fun to me.

Since these have all been publicly released on television, I think it would be about the same gray area of the law as anything else this site has done.

The old guy in the green shirt on the left fancies the younger guy in the green shirt on the right.... I would not want to use this footage Darth Ender....

I'm sure it's good fun what but really fake bad advertising acting....

Obviously.  The point isn't to keep all that stuff.  The point is maybe to keep one or two seconds, minus original audio, of the the flight towards the Death Star, and maybe a second of the flight out of it as well.  However, as you and I both said, it's all in good fun, so if it doesn't work, no biggie.  It does look very obviously CGI in many instances, but the approach towards the Death Star is potentially useful if we don't get to the entrance.

Only winding you up....

Of course it worked.  My question again is whether it is possible to use this stuff or not?  Can the original Star Tours have color correction applied to a few seconds to improve the way it looks?  Can we add our own special effects on top of that?

I would say yes it can be fixed because you can colour correct different parts individually so I don't see why not but the quality is not the best and there are limitations to what you can do with the source material quality...

The Star tours 2 stuff yes 100% but the original star tours would take work but I think It is do-able... There would be nothing to stop adding elements on-top of this like a cgi model of an x-wing flying at the ties say... Or If you even use some of it as cock-pit shots then you would be down-sizing the footage to the frame of the cockpit and this would improve how it looks also as it would enhance detail a bit. like when you watch a low quality you-tube vid in a window as opposed to full-screen so we can be clever with it and not shrug this off as unusable. Even if you used part of the footage in other footage it may work like mixing 2 image together instead you would be mixing 2 videos together.

so you could use some of that video under the middle section of the medical frigate and set it as a background vid with the frigate as foreground creating a new frame for the video but it would be much smaller
