Well, I can confirm that the Malaysian Ewoks tape I obtained is also PAL with field blends.

These blends are very difficult to remove as sometimes - especially during fades or pans - there are no 'clean' fields available from which to reconstruct the frames. None of the existing AviSynth-based methods can deal with this.

Am I right in thinking it was only Droids that has a Japanese release, so for Ewoks we are stuck with this PAL video?
