Great news, Dayv. Exercise will make you feel 10 years younger.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

YEAH, MY DOCTORS (YES, THAT'S THE PLURAL FORM OF DOCTOR) SAID THAT I SHOULD BE FEELING BETTER THAN I EVER HAVE IN ABOUT SIX MONTHS.  I'M TAKING MY DAILY VITAMINS AND GETTING READY TO START WORKING OUT.  MY ENERGY LEVEL IS STILL PRETTY LOW, BUT I THINK THAT ONCE I START WORKING OUT THAT I'LL START FEELING A WHOLE LOT BETTER.

Had something to look up on youtube... then one link lead to another... and an hour passed me by. With five windows open and each video half way done buffering, I started reading comments to pass the time. Every one of, and I do mean every one of, those videos contained the phrase "until I took an arrow to the knee." in the comments. Videos ranging from instructions for removing the orange safety tip from an airsoft gun (a federal offense, by the way), to clips of Penn and Teller magic tricks, to a music video for a song that has been stuck in my head, and a few Live news bloopers. Each one containing this same phrase.

I hate memes. They take things that are actually pretty damn funny at times, and they drive them down into the ground and rape the funny out of them.

I had to look up the "arrow to the knee" meme. Skyrim. It is hilarious and ridiculous that every guard will say that same phrase. Lazy game making with hilarious consequences. Well, hilarious until idiots on the internet wear it out.

My wife has been playing Skyrim for several hours and has never heard anyone say "took an arrow to the knee". It's not as common as the meme would have you believe.

I've watched my room mate play it for hours on end, I've heard it uttered a few times... but obviously not enough times that I didn't have to look up the quote to figure out what it was from.

Every common guard will eventually say that line if you keep talking to them enough times (and my room mate feels the need to talk to EVERYBODY! Watching him play that game makes me want to beat my head into the wall... I am sure it would be intensely exciting if I were the one playing, but after a month of him constantly playing it, I have lost all interest in touching that game anytime in the near future).

Why would you watch someone play a video game?

Tomorrow we are watching a Bowie concert AT SCHOOL! My idea, so that pretty much explains why. I am kinda nervous about the kind of response I'm going to get about it. This shall prove interesting.

I've actually been watching Lord of the Ring bonus features while the wife has been playing this weekend. Apparently too many, as I had a dream I was working with Peter Jackson on the Hobbit, and all I could think of was to ask if he'd be willing to shoot a clip of Martin Freeman hitting the same beats the youngerized Ian Holm did in the prologue of Bilbo finding the Ring in Fellowship of the Ring so that fan editors could replace the original if they wanted to while preserving the film in its original state.

I need help.

Sad to read about Bob Holness reaching the final golden tile.

His name will probably not register much to people outside the UK but he did have the accolade of being the second actor to play James Bond (in a radio adaptation of Moonraker).

I think if I ever fanedit a movie, I might do one for The Night of the Hunter. Reading the novel has made me think about it more. Nothing drastic, but some stuff I'd prefer to bring it more in line with the book, perhaps, and a bit of cheese removal. (sorry, Mr. Laughton)

The franchises I get nerdy about are so obscure that not even most nerds know about them.
