And As for the Soften Block Noise - I only use it when converting a LOW quality source like a downloaded AVI or QT (fanfilms and stuff like that) I use the setting at 15 x 15

Thanks for the information Rikter. I've never tried the deinterlace filter. What I usually do is an Inverse Telecine by setting the Encode Mode to 3:2 pulldown when playback and Frame Rate to 23.976 fps (internally 29.97 fps). On the Advanced Tab, I set IVTC filter to on and for its settings I choose Auto Setting. In Auto Setting I choose 24fps (Flicker prioritized) and Deinterlace: None. I didn't do any deinterlacing because I've heard the films are Telecined and not Interlaced. By doing IVTC, it turns it into progressive and throws out the duplicate frames created during the Telecine process. That way, more bitrate is applied to the frames that are left and improves the quality since the bitrate is applied per second and not per frame.

As far as the interviews, I left them alone because they are a mixed source of Telecine and Interlace. The interview footage is Interlaced and the movie clips are Telecined.

I use 2 pass VBR as well as it provides a smaller filesize and I was noticing jumps in the video when I used Constant Quality.

I may try Deinterlace sometime to see how it turns out.

I also wanted to mention that those with both the Original and SE LD's or VHS may have to mix and match another part. In ESB, the sound effect of the Snowspeeder spinning out of control is not in the Definitive Collection or Faces LD's or Faces VHS tapes. It is in the original film and in the SE LD's and VHS tapes. I wonder if that is mentioned on the flaw list.

Thanks.
