Atheist don't rip on Christianity and then think that Islamic and Jewish beliefs are real.
never said they did. My point is that they respect the Islamic and the Jewish faith more than they do the Christian faith. I hardly ever hear comedians make fun of Jews or Muslims, but I hear them make jokes about Christianity all the time.
I don't think "respect" is the right word to use. Rather it is an issue with boundaries. My first college room mate was black, every time I did something that mildly annoyed him he'd tell me "that was a very black thing to do". Every now and then he'd go off on a tongue in cheek diatribe about how he had to put up with "black" things like this all his life and now that he was living with a white guy he was expecting better and I was failing him. My description doesn't do this justice, I make it sound weird or stupid, but he could honestly be downright hilarious when he went on one of these rants. The same comments coming from a white guy would be horrifyingly racists. Why? Because it is crossing a boundary.
A bald guy making bald jokes can be comical, a guy with a massive head of hair making bald jokes is a bit distasteful and kind of mean spirited.
Watch a Hispanic comedian, what race does he typically pick on? Hispanics. Why? Because he is safe there, he isn't crossing a boundary.
Growing up in a predominantly Christian country like Walkingdork and I have, Christianity is own silly superstitious religion, by making jokes at its expense we are making fun of our own culture and not crossing boundaries.

The point you are trying to make (I believe) is that only Christians get ripped on.
no, my point is that is more acceptable to rip Christians than it is Jews or Muslims.
If you make fun of Islam, violent offense can be taken and you might wind up dead. It is kind of nice to be part of a culture good humored enough that you can make fun of it without people wanting to kill you for it.
The Jews went through a major persecution in relatively recent history that still grants them sympathetic immunity. Not saying it is right or fair; but make fun of Jews and you can expect people to look at you like you are Hitler himself.

I don't have Muslims or Jews knocking on my door and trying to convert me.
I don't do that myself and neither is my church into that. Normally it is easy to get them to go away. I've had people knock on my door have easily gotten them to go away.
Not the point. It is still extremely annoying and rather rude and many Christian groups do do this.
