Since my family adheres to cultic lies True Christianity, Christmas isn't observed in my household. I did buy myself the eighth season of The Simpsons on DVD, though, so it's almost all good.
Ah the 8th season of The Simpsons. Good year. The Scorpio episode in the beginning of the season is one of my favorites.
Although I pretty much an atheist the rest of my family is Christian including my ex-wife in her family. So my kids and I celebrated a traditional Christmas with a tree and Bing Crosby music. I don't believe in it, but I'm not going to rain on the parade of little kids (3 and 5).
At this point I think I will never intervene on what my daughters believe. I'm sure growing up they'll notice that I'm not a Christian (my 5 year old knows I don't pray and asks questions) and when they are older they'll probably have their own doubts. I'll never try to convince them of anything, but as teenagers/adults if they ask why I don't believe I will tell them. Otherwise I'm no better than a religious man trying to manipulate people into believing what I believe.
