Greetings all 😃

I posted this proposal over at Fanedit.org some time ago and it was suggested that I also post my idea at this site. Any and all ideas are welcome from creative minds…

Given the success of TMBTM’s silent versions of the Star Wars Prequels, has anyone ever tried to make a silent version of the films with completely new dialogue? I was thinking this could be a terrific opportunity for fan editors everywhere to rewrite the prequels and give the characters far more depth than they originally had.

This approach would work pretty well for editors who want to either start The Phantom Menace on Courscant, or want to stage the final lightsaber duel on one of the droid command ships. You could even mix and match scenes from different movies. Imagine being in the battle of Geonosis before cutting to General Grevious overseeing the battle from his command ship. You could even take the Grevious/Sidious hologram scene from Episode III and put it into Episode II…over even Episode I depending on what sort of story you want to tell.

The possibilities are endless and I’d like to hear your thoughts…
