It would if you saw some evidence of the Queen or her handmaiden showing any sense of comparative empathy (which would also be helped if you saw outer rim slaves who didn't seem to have cushy lives) but I digress.

The reason why I included that because it makes the Naboo crisis just part of a pattern which leads to the Separatist movement and Dooku's leadership.

The Viceroy is frightened of losing power (like Anakin is frightened, like the Jedi and the Senators are frightened) and does something he later regrets after being promised a short cut and a quick fix from Sidious.

If Sidious was offering this great deal to enough people who might fund opposition to Palpatine's Empire in the future it creates a phantom for the Jedi to fight which brings about their destruction.

A Jedi leading their movement is the cherry on the cake.

My off topicness ends here.

All right, that does sound pretty good, not going to lie. My off-topicness also stops here....for now.

Just a little Photoshop mockup I did this evening. Thoughts?

The shutters idea (if i got it right) during the space battle seems not possible. Not to count the big sun highlights that is already there on the floor and mostly 3d track a footage seems a bit tricky to do it.

Nice work on the red lasers AAL.

Sure i can see some hue banding and pixel clipping but sure its an interesting idea to reduce even more the rainbow colors of PT.

On the other side, removing the camo color from the troopers is something that i love but considering the amounts of roto seems like an frustrating but exciting task itself!

Keep going :)

Any self respecting edit should recolour all the lasers to red (with the exception of the green lasers of tie fighter and star destroyer precursors). No more purple or blue (except for ion cannons) :)

Good work!

Camouflage reduction is probably the easier end of a spectrum of moves that would lead to a more unified Star Wars.

The CGI troops already look more than a little fake so it's easier to reduce the camo on the CGI troops in ROTS than add it to the real troops in ROTJ.

Though it would make sense to have camouflage in both instances, it would also make sense to hide Artoo and Threepio's gleaming outline and I'm really not sure how possible that would be for a ROTJ editor so it makes sense to make this film as visually silly as ROTJ.

I like the camo because it makes sense and looks cool. On the other hand, it makes no sense, because they're not fighting in trees. All of the troops are out in the open on a beach with white sand that makes them stand out.

If it takes too much work, then leave them be, but otherwise, it's a good way to put the OT back in.

Thanks for the feedback!
I'm going to see if I can reduce the camo in motion - at least for a shot or two - to see if it's possible.

Things I'm definitely already doing:
-Making all clones shoot red

-Making all Star Destroyers shoot green

Clones shoot red? Star Destroyers shoot green? BEAUTIFUL

Always thought the camo was stupid. There shouldn't be so many different colored varieties of clones, since in the OT there are really only 3 kinds (Storms, Snows, and Scouts.)

The TIE pilots and AT-AT drivers followed the same trooper template.

The Clone Wars took place (on screen) across a wider variety of environments so it sort of made sense that their armour would have more variety to it but if they had camouflage during the Clone Wars it makes sense that they would do the same on Endor (the Rebel troops did but as I mentioned earlier there is the nonsense of dragging a big shiny gold robot and a bleeping white barrel of christmas lights to the same party).

So either someone has to make ROTJ make visual sense or tone down the colour variation in the PT.

I don't hate the armor variations at all, I just hate some of the coloring. Like the green visor on the Kashyyk commander, or the purple snow troopers(PURPLE?! WHAT?!) I'm all for the Utapau, and Coruscant troopers being orange, and red, and blue and whatnot.

It does bring to mind the wonderful excesses of the Uzay knock-off figures of yesteryear :

The way I see it is this -

In the PT the Republic is trying to win a war, so they have camo to achieve that goal

In the OT, the Empire rules by fear so seeing a Storm trooper in the white coloring those that oppose the empire know there is no escape and they are about to get dead!

makes alot of sense. but i think when fanediting the PT, EVERYTHING seems to come out of the bag to hook it to the OT in any way possible.

I don't mind coming up with explanations for things necessarily, but when I catch myself trying to explain something, it's a sure sign that I should probably change it.

May I suggest you to use some of the lines of the revenge of the sith video game in the fight between obi wan and anakin. Because the only thing they do is fight and I think they should be saying somethings, especially obi wan. You don't even have to show their faces while they talk just like in the middle of everything.

(Sorry for bad English)

Check out my Episode I edit.

Sorry for Bad English.

That's a good suggestion. Obi-Wan's voice actor sometimes sounds a lot like Ewan McGregor, but Anakin's lines are kind of stale in the video game. (If it's POSSIBLE to be more stale than Hayden, haha)
