Damn, i wish i'd seen this. I've been trying to dig up some rare interviews for a possibly commentary track for ESB:R. What's the quality like and is there any interesting stuff on there?

AMAZINGLY perfect.
I only listened to the first disc (it's a full hour) and it contains the audio from the full press conference with Kirsch, Kurtz, Harrison, Carrie, Mark, Anthony and David Prowse.
The 2nd part of the first disc is the 1 on 1 with Harrison.
Haven't listened to the 2nd.
It's all direct from the soundboard.

Does it sounds like a press event for tv or radio where they could replace the audio of the questions with a local newscaster. Or a full event where in the background maybe you can hear the press. (..having now read the ebay listing) Does the recording seem to be the large press event or part of the local one on one interviews, or a bit of both?

It's the press conference for the film and it's most certainly NOT the one-on-one interviews done for TV as above. Those are usually done on the same day but in an individual studio with reporters switched out.
This, I believe, is from the Canadian press tour for the film. I still haven't gotten around to listening to the second CD.
