do we really need to see Boba survive the Sarlaac? can't this just be left to the EU novels, it's bad enough we had to endure the beginnings of Boba as a young New Zealand child shouting 'Git im Ded!' I think we need to see the demise of him on film, it's a pity they couldn't have given Audrey 2 (the sarlaac) a set of razor sharp teeth to make sure Boba met his grizzly end,

Aaaannnyyways, I'm glad he's changing the voice for Boba Fett. It would be stupid not to. If the guy is a clone, and we've all heard all the clones use the same voice, wouldn't it have to make sense that his voice match as well?
I'm tired of people whining about Lucas changing Star Wars. It's his movies. They are still great movies. If they came out in say, 1977 with all the changes he has made, they would still be the uber-hits they are. You all (myself included) would still worship them. Lucas is simply trying to tie all 6 of his films together. He's fleshing out scenes and characters. He's making the films the best he possibly can, in his mind. I'm sure he feels he has grown as a film maker, and thinks that as his final sign off to these films...these things are the way they should be.
If the scene of the Sandstorm in ROTJ is restored, I would also like to see footage added of Boba Fett getting out of the pit. If not into the film, then as a special feature. I'm not sure of when the new TV show is supposed to take place based on him, but if it is after ROTJ this would make sense. If it isn't, then nevermind.

there's no point to change Boba's voice...
they guy has grown up... and when you do go through puberty... you dont keep the same voice...
man the PT has really opened up so many plot holes now...
he should have made the PT blend with the OT... not change around the OT to fit with the PT now...
Lucas is making everything so much harder for himself..

people grow up... you dont have the same voice you did at the age of like 10 do you?
and when i say plot holes im talking about how he has to alter the originals to make his prequel trilogy fit... it should be the other way around.. he should be altering his prequel trilogy to fit with the movie which started it all...
not the other way around...
QuoteHowever, because people are all individuals, and make their own choices, it would make sense for 2 people's voices, even if they are genetically identical, to be different.

I think you are missing the point. He isn't going to make Boba Fett sound like the kid, he's going to sound like the Clone-origin Jango Fett. If you'll notice, all the Clonetroopers have the exact same voice. They are fully aged, to about the same that Boba Fett would eventually be. An older Boba Fett would have to sound like Jango Fett if their DNA is IDENTICAL. Twins don't have completely identical DNA, thus the changes. Clones do.
I understand what you are saying about the "plot holes". I think Lucas realizes that in order to create a better story arch and make the Prequels better, he has to change some things about the original.

I know what you mean... but thats where there is a plot hole...
if Lucas hadnt have made Boba a clone then he wouldnt have to change the voice... why couldn't Jango just have had a woman give birth to Boba or even take him in as an orphan...
what im saying is it's stuff like this that he is screwing himself on..

Boba can have a different voice without it being inconsistant. Therefore I don't think he should change Bobas voice since I like Bobas old voice.
