YAY!
YAY!
Long time no see, Brash.
I know. I've been watching, though. How goes the render since my yay?
It goes. Still breaking it down into parts because Premiere enjoys being a jerk. But it IS getting there!
Nice. I really like where this edit's going. I wish u the best o' luck (hopefully premeire isn't being too much of a pain in the a*s.)

It's still being a pain, but I'm making it work.
Any ETA for this?
I was hoping for a year ago!
However, it will be soon.... Very soon! I hope in the next couple of weeks honestly... And I hope that's at the latest!
I really am glad. I enjoyed Renascent and the concept, but I'd love to see another flashback style edit as well. :)

Fantastic! Can't wait for it.
Thanks for the encouragement! Still plugging along!
Life sucks....
Not really sure how this happened. No one is taking ownership, but I've lost everything on this edit aside from a few rendered clips.
Everything else, project files, effects work, EVERYTHING has been deleted. The rendered stuff was on my main drives, but my externals are just...gone. I'm sorry for those of who were looking forward to this... It's just gone, and YES my heart is breaking. I was really in love with this cut, and DID. SO. MUCH. WORK.
Not sure I'll have the heart to try again. You may not see me around here for awhile. But rest assured this is killing me far worse than any of you feel about it.
:-/ HOW?!?!?!
I would LOVE to know... The drives work still.. I can open them... Just empty.
Also, remember that deleted on a hard drive never actually means deleted unless that section is overwritten with something new. It'll still be there, just hidden.
Don't lose hope.
Well how do I unhide it?
There are programs to recover lost files on a harddrive.
Here's an example of a guide, but there may be newer/better programs by now:
http://lifehacker.com/393084/how-to-recover-deleted-files-with-free-software
And there are professionals who can recover material that's been deleted and even overwritten. Either way, try not to put anything new on those drives. Good luck. Even though I'm disappointed, I'm sure it's a much greater loss to you. Don't give up hope yet :)
That's really dissapointing. Not for me, but for you. I've been interested in this edit for awhile now, but that interest is nothing compared to the time and effort you must have into this edit. I can't begin to understand what you're feeling. Stay strong, and good luck.
Had a look at any of those programs? I had a similar issue before (but not with an edit) and a similar program recovered all the important files I needed.
It does seem strange though that the whole hard drive is just showing as empty now. I really hope you get this sorted...
I've tried a few. I have no idea what happened, but I'm pretty sure I'm not getting it back.

You'd best get in contact with a professional, then. I wouldn't put much stock in software like that, personally. But I know there are talented pros that do these services.
The 'professionals' just use the same software available to everyone. There are no secret methods.
I used the free program 'Recuva' the other day for the first time and it recovered a bunch of files I didn't want to delete. I don't see why it wouldn't work for you. It's really easy to use too, btw. Here's a link to the download page:

I've heard good things about recuva...
