Star Wars: Vader (Finished)

Hello there!
This is an edit of the prequels as a sort of miniseries, but you can watch them all at once as a single movie.

The plot is radically altered. Darth Vader is a body-hopping evil spirit (created by Darth Plageuis) and mastermind kept alive by the dark side, and serves as narrator. Darth Maul and Grievous act as his first and second “bodies,” though they are both called Darth Vader. Padme is alive at the end; Anakin and Palpatine succeed at reviving her through the murder of Mace Windu. All the very family-unfriendly moments are taken out - most of Anakin’s “fall” is allowing Palpatine to do his work unhindered, no child-murder necessary. The focus of the story is on the flaws of the main characters. Obi Wan continually seeks revenge, neglecting his apprentice and leading to his eventual downfall. Anakin is easily duped, and Padme’s use of Anakin as a servant proves to be her undoing.

Anakin is kind of a dunce, but overall a nice guy, and the final Darth Vader we see in the OT is a mix of his capacity for servitude and the spirit’s powerful mind. Padme herself is a warmonger who jump-starts the creation of the clone army in response to Alderaan (Naboo, I guess) being attacked. She wins over Anakin very easily, and she’s kind of a sugar mama. Obi-Wan and Qui Gon are brothers, and Obi Wan and Anakin are roughly the same age. The Clone Wars involve a lot more versatile uses for clones - as laborers to build the droid armies, as an insect colony (the geonosians,) as Padme’s decoys, and so on.

This edit uses both work and ideas from numerous sources, including but not limited to the Cutter, Spence, JasonN, and Kerr.
This is not an edit you watch as the Star Wars experience, because it has numerous technical issues. It was all done in Windows Movie Maker. There are jarring cuts, sound problems, and continuity errors (whoops, R2 is in two places at once.) I recommend you watch it with headphones. However, I did this edit mainly for myself and for posterity, and it’s the most satisfying version of the story for me. I will be revising it at some point when I have more experience, but for right now, I would like the critique to be focused on story elements.

A few people have brought this project to my attention with a few questions, so I just wanted to state here that I am in no way affiliated with or working a part on this specific editing project.

As an additional sidenote (and admitedly, entirely personal on my part), I'm just a tad leery about the fact that the EP3 edit for this project is called "The Knight in Black" since it sounds somewhat close to the title of my EP3 fanedit (which was called "The Black Knight Rises").

A fan editor leery at another fan editor for editing his fan edit of a film he did not create.

We need to go deeper.

Actually no, I'm not leery about that aspect - it's the title that he chose for his EP3 edit that I'm a bit leery on since I think it's rather close to my EP3 edit's title that fanedit viewers might get the two mixed up.

I avoided using the actual titles as the names of the videos for a number of reasons, including that one. It's not necessarily unique to call Darth Vader "The Black Knight," but kudos for the good idea.
