I've found a possible lead on the ending footage... As for the audio, the best I can do, unfortunately, is a VHS tape. I don't think it was ever released on anything but VHS... and despite this, it's good enough to watch.

Do you know anything about the Southern Cross footage used in the movie?

I got about 10 minutes synced the other day; the movie is almost like they applied a Blender to Megazone. One of the very first shots is the very last shot of the oav reversed.
