Because I provided an opinion different than yours?
You don't seem to like people who disagree with you.

nope, its the rude way you state your differing opinion is why I am considering putting you on ignore.

C3PS and I have disagreed more times than I can count, and I am just fine with him.

Personally I think this conversation need not continue. It stopped being productive a while ago. It's almost an argument for the sake of arguing, with nothing new being added and no one closer to seeing another's point of view. I disagree with Warbler's sympathies for the students, but I see no reason to continue condemning him for it. Nor do I see any reason to continue justifying your comments; we all know where you stand, and you've even clarified. The point of this thread (IMHO) should simply be how crazy it is that this whole thing has happened, and the details that surround it, not how bad we feel for people whose involvement is rather peripheral. I'm sure someone will tell me to mind my own business, but I just don't see much point to the argument any longer.
Officially butting out now.

Child sexual abuse has been reported up to 80,000 times a year, but the number of unreported instances is far greater, because the children are afraid to tell anyone what has happened, and the legal procedure for validating an episode is difficult.

yeah, sure he is. I think we should amend the Constitution to make it legal to castrate sick a-holes like Sandusky.

I agree with Dayv. It is sick bastards like that that make it hard for me to be against the death penalty. There is no rehabilitation from that, and if there was, would we want it? From here it is just spending tax dollars on the guy until he dies. Do we really need to do that for something so evil that it sets up a charity in order to get close to and prey on the children it claims to help?

So you are saying you've never made or laughed at a Michael Jackson joke? (although I personally don't believe MJ actually molested anyone)

Aww, can't we do both? My grandfather once said they should nail their scrotum to the center post of a barn, give them an ax, and light the barn on fire. Let them choose whether they want to burn to death or hack their own nuts off. Of course the jokes on them as either option will result in death.

I never meant to imply that castration is the only thing we should do to him. I think he should be in jail for the rest of his life AND castrated, WITHOUT THE USE ANY PAINKILLERS OR ANESTHESIA. As for putting him to death, I don't know, we've only done that to murderers. But it is tempting.
All these incidents of child molestation are completely wrong, disgusting, and despicable. Goes without saying, but still felt like I should post that.

Okay, thoughts on this guy?
The blue elephant in the room.
apparently McQueary is now saying he stop Sandusky and did call the police.
http://xfinity.comcast.net/articles/sports-general/20111115/Penn.State-Abuse/
funny, how McQueary stopping Sandusky and calling the cops does not seem to be in the grand jury report. Either the report left this info out, or McQueary never told the grand jury this info. I find it doubtful that they would leave out of the report that McQueary said he stopped Sandusky and called the police. I also find it doubtful that McQueary wouldn't have told the grand jury about stopping Sandusky and called the cops. Also if McQueary did call the cops, where is the police report? Why didn't the cops do anythings? Why was Sandusky not arrested back then? Why wasn't it reported in the news? A graduate student calling the cops because he witnessed a former Penn State assistant coach surely would have made it into some newspaper(s) and/or some local/network tv news program. All of this makes me doubt what McQueary said in the email.
As the article that Mrebo linked to, I do not feel sorry for McQueary. If the grand jury report is true, he witnessed Sandusky molesting a 10 year old boy. He said was distraught and called and asked for advice from his father. I can understand getting advice after witness some crimes, but child molestation? No, you immediately call the cops, and if you can, you stop it yourself. If my five year old niece was being molested and someone saw it, I wouldn't them go ask someone else for advice, I'd want them to stop it and call the cops. One thing people should keep in mind, because not enough was done after McQueary witnessed what he witnessed, Sandusky was allowed to molest more children. All the molestations that happened after the one that McQueary witnessed wouldn't have happened if McQueary and everyone else involved had done the right things.

Exactly. Which was why I couldn't feel sorry for those who still want to see Paterno as a hero. His inaction is almost as bad as carrying out the crime himself. He admitted he knew it was going on and he could have done more to stop it.
