Puggo Strikes Back! (Released) — Page 18

By the way, I have pretty much decided to produce both an upscaled version, and a standard DVD-5 version.  The reason being, there are still a lot of people out there who are only prepared to deal with standard DVDs, and so I think more people will see it if it is also produced in that format.  Plus it's kinda fun to make the menus and throw on an extra or two.  It shouldn't change the schedule to make it in both formats simultaneously.  Thoughts?

It's a good idea, you are catering to both camps, nothing wrong with that, hell I am kind of doing the same thing.

It sounds like a great idea. I always would love a DVD-5 version as an alternative disc with extras. Also, they are handy for taking on trips, though I definitely will probably watch the upscaled version even more. I'm so excited for this....

Sounds pretty fantastic to me i have both the grande and the swedish on a dvd-5.

I don't have a dual-layer burner, so DVD-5 just saves me an extra step.

Adywan is still working on the color correction of reels 2 and 3.  I'm also expecting to get the 2nd print in a couple of weeks, which I'm only going to use for a couple of patches (I'm not going to scan the whole thing).  Sound sync is done.

Sounds like it's coming along nicely, Puggo. This is going to be an epic release, especially since it employs color correction.

Adywan has been busy so the color correction patiently awaits.

I received the second print from rsortor (for splicing in a couple of corrections), but I haven't yet captured it because I was using the equipment for the THX-1138 capture (see the thread in "other projects").

Awesome stuff.

Any chance you'll have this ready before May 4th? ;)

I didn't even see that one! I honestly think Ebay's search engine is borked sometimes.

Yeah, I don't know why, but even if you choose "Worldwide," not all foreign listings will show up on your country's version of eBay. This item doesn't show up in the worldwide search results on the main (U.S.) site, or on eBay.co.uk - it *only* shows up on eBay.de, even though the seller ships worldwide.

Weird...

Wow! Seems like a lot of Derann prints have popped up this year.

Empire went for about $500 U.S., as most worldwide bidders probably never saw the auction.

Oh I wish I had the cash laying around to check that out!  I'm sure that if he were willing Puggo could do some great things with it.
