Actor James Earl Jones, best known as the voice of Darth Vader in Star Wars, has been given an honorary Oscar for lifetime achievement.

He has appeared in more than 50 films during his career and his other credits include Field of Dreams, Patriot Games and The Hunt for Red October.

About time too if you ask me.

He does an impression of Vader towards the end of the video there (although it sounds more like Mufasa to me), first time I've ever seen him do one.

Indeed, he is a worthy actor for the award, and it's high time he gets one.  Congrats, Jim!

Thumbs up, he deserved it.

And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

One of our audio people should take that bit of him doing "the voice" and Vader-fy it.  That'd be epic.
