How delicately put.
I always thought that was his blaster. Maybe I'm stupid too ;)

I always thought Luke lost his comlink (like a communicator in Star Trek) and that's why he had to call to Leia using the Force.
Really?? That's just stupid!!

True. While Matt Wood says his voice is in all 6 movies, no one has found him in any of them so far, as far as I know.
I thought I read somewhere that Matt Wood and another person helped voice Obi-Wan's new scream in ANH. Anyone else remember this?
People may not want to hear it, but I believe the "other person" is Ben Burtt.

No, according to the "sounds of Star Wars" book, where the new howl was first heard it was Matt Wood and Dave Acord. Here's what it says;
An interim crow sound was first tried before Burtt arrived and recorded Wood and Acord in the parking lot behind the Tech Building. "He sourced it from Dave and me yelling," Wood says, " We screamed and screamed. I was trying to model mine off this terrible cheesy element that i love from a Disneyland ride, The Haunted Mansion: ah, ah, ahooooaah!"
So he knew that it was a "terrible cheesy" sound and he still thought it was a good idea for the howl. Enough said.
Progress report:
The shield generator parts are now all finished and ready to cast. Work has started on the Dagobah miniature set and while this is in progress i will be working on the snowspeeder model (a modified version of the kit i purchased off ebay cheap) replace a few background shots and also the full scale Han Solo in carbonite front section that will have the correct shirt and also the Asteroid canyon.
Sounds great Ady.....any chance of any pics?

You should add that link to your sig, suggests I.
I'm just curious why you have to make an entire full-scale carbonite prop to fix Han's shirt.

He's just making the shirt and face part of it. He has to make it full-scale as the face mold he has is full-scale. This is one of the things I'm most interested in myself.adywan said:

Of all the things Ady's doing for ESB:R, The Carbonite is near if not at the top of the "Can he really pull this off?" list. That, and the Wampa.
The wampa is what I'm personally most anxious to see
Same here. To me, that's probably the number one hardest thing to pull off. ...but what do I know?
I'm anxious to see the whole thing, really. I have this nagging feeling that Adywan is only telling us a fraction of what he's done.
Well where would the fun be if there weren't a bunch of surprises?

Yo!!!
Glad to hear the release of the Blu-Rays doesn't mean you're starting over from scratch...
All this time I was thinking your handle was pronounced like "Addy Wahn" (like a take-off on Obi-Wan). Now in this interview it's "Eighty-One."
Well that puts a whole new spin on things. ;)
Btw, I always said "Aye Tee Aye Tee" and my friends all said "At At."
seems I'm with you on that one Kurgan......though Ming pronounces it "eighty-One"
*wonders if the man himself has a prefered choice between the 2*

Which, of course, would be pronounced 'Eye Tee Eye Tee.' Very weird. ;)
It's a childish pronunciation of "Adrian", but I was the same what Kurgan was until I listened to the old interview I just posted to Google+. Since he didn't correct the podcasters, I'm thinking "eighty-one" is closer to the actual pronunciation. Believe it or not, I've not actually talked to the man yet.

Are you guys American? I don't think an English person would be wondering how it's pronounced, unless Ady did in fact intend it to sound like an American pronunciation of "80". Ady is diminutive for Adrian in the UK and elsewhere, with Wan added to make it a Jedi name; as far I can tell it's as simple as that.
Now with all the facebook wordpress Google+ and twitter for the revisited project is this subject really fits here?
Can this forum be focused on the "only about edit" discussions?
Random chat can be done elsewhere i think
