Did anyone get Batman Arkham City? I am looking forward to these, and they are all within the new few weeks,

Uncharted 3
Elder Scrolls Skyrim
Assassin's Creed Revelations
I want to rent Arkham 1. Looks awesome.

My Son has beaten Arkham Asylum(1) and he just LOVES it! he plays it over and over, his Birthday is in a couple weeks(he will be 11) I have Arkham City for him, and supposedly this is even better than Asylum if you can believe that.

Plus he has all 3 other games I mentioned above on pre order as well LOL, I have created a little Gamer LOL, but all is good, he gets straight A's in School so I do not worry about it.

Got a Kinect last week - been playing with UFC trainer which has been a good bit of fun. I'm really not a fan of the UFC in general but the game seems to have some good content. It certainly gets the heart beating.

Also got kinect adventures which is very bland - it was a freebie and Child of Eden - another freebie - which I haven't had much of a look at let but seems to be be pretty decent - it's a sort of flashy colourful shooter.

Played through RAGE and was really enjoying it until the sudden and disappointing ending. The game really feels like it's building toward something and then suddenly you're watching the end credits roll. There's a faction called the Authority that is meant to be the 'big bad' but they barely make an appearance. A few more missions at least would have been nice.

I barely had a chance to use some of the cool stuff i was constructing like turrets and fancy ammo types.

There's a weapon called the wing stick that is a lot of fun - basically a bladed boomerang that will take someone's head clean off.

The sheer size and complexity of the game world are strikes against it since the modding community wont be able to keep the game fresh for years to come as has been the case in the past - Developments should be interesting...

I've got mixed feelings about the game, there are pros and cons but it can be a lot of fun in the early stages.

The non-PS3 games I am interested in, and will definitely get eventually. I decided I don't need to play most games straight out of the gate, but it will be hard to keep me from Halo Anniversary.

Halo anniversay and Skyrim will both be day one purchases, the others can wait.

Also interested in Battlefield 3 but not as a full priced game.

From what Ive heard the new Ass' creed gets a little inception like with Ezio retracing Altair's steps - a way to tie it all together I guess. Could be interesting. I've been out of the loop for a while.

This made me laugh, because I am immature.

Hehe... I always call it Ass Creed, because I am also immature.

I hate how everything comes out at once.

I bought Dead Island, Rage, and Battlefield 3 so far. Plus I have MW3 reserved, and really want Halo: Anniversary. Lot of money to drop at once, and normally I would just pull a Xhonzi and wait, but I have friends getting them on release that I wanted/want to play with in the cases of Dead Island, BF3 and MW3, and Rage was one I was personally really excited about. Should have waited on Rage and maybe even Battlefield 3*

* I enjoy it, but I am having a really hard time getting to the point where I am wetting myself with excitement over it like so many other people. Being my first Battlefield game, I am also having a hard time with the learning curve. People keep telling me I play like a COD player. I once accidentally shot a team mate when he startled me by running out from around a corner I just saw an enemy run past. One bullet, not a lot of damage. Oops. I turn around and start shooting at some actual real enemies this time and suddenly die. Watching the kill cam, the team mate I accidentally shot knifed me! I am finding this sort of thing to be the general attitude of Battlefield players, it is really lame, immature, and not a lot of fun. I've had experiences with immaturity in COD, but it never has any bearing on gameplay, and remedying the situation is never more complicated than clicking the "Mute Player" button.

Immature Xbox Live players? NO!

;-)

That's my experience with COD, heck, all those kind of games, which is why I don't play any of them.

I guess I have had really good experiences with COD for the most part. My best experiences have always been when I brought my own players though.

Hey, I thought you didn't have gold anymore.  Weren't you Dead Data in your ST:TNG analogy?

Well, the other day my xbox told me I could have 3 months for $9.99, so I took it.

Hmm... does that make you not-so-Dead-Data?  Or nuData?

I have to say that while the new games are fun, I do miss the old days.  I think my first exposure to the original NES was when I was 6, and I loved it.  I still have a fondness for the original Mario Bros., Zelda, and other games.  Now I play them via emulation.  Nice to play them on a more reliable system.

More reliable system than the NES? What made your NES unreliable?

I think he's referring to the fact that you had to blow into your carts to make them work sometimes.

Ah, yeah, that is probably what he meant. I still prefer the real thing 100 times over to emulation, though. Never quite the same playing those old games on a PC.

You actually never had to blow in them, just stupid kids thought you did. It was a matter of getting the connectors lined up right because of the crappy connectors Nintendo originally used in the front loader units. You could have skipped the violently blowing into the cartridge step and got the same results from just removing and replacing the cartridge a few times.

Dropping $10 or so online for a new higher quality connector will fix the problem.

I personally loved the 1988-2003 era. Space Quests 1 to 4, KOTOR, Wing Commander 1 to 4, Star Control 2 (greatest game of all time), Resident Evil 1 & 2, Might and Magic 3 to 5, Morrowind, Street Fighter 2...
