OTCon - The originaltrilogy.com Convention

If we were to have an OTCon, where would it be? What kind of seminars would be offered?

(please be as serious/nonserious as you want)

I think it's pretty much a requirement that one panel be in the format of a mission briefing, with a holographic image of Skywalker Ranch projected in the middle of the room.

I'm not sure we could handle or organize a con on our own, but I'm thinking we could at least host some kind of "after-con" party. Like a get-together around another convention.

My dream would be Star Wars Celebration in Indianapolis. I know many places where we all could hang out.

How many really active members do we have, anyway?

I'd say less than 50 who post regularly, of them maybe 15 or 20 who might actually trek somewhere to meet others, the rest being not social enough, not old enough, or not American enough. ;-)

How would you explain this to your parents, Zig?

"Can we go to Denver and meet a bunch of older men I met online?"

I don't even know how I would explain it to my wife!

Some kind of mass interview/discussion/panel. I basically want to get them all in the same area so they can bounce ideas off one another.

Zombie would host some kind of history seminar, of course. I'd have a "Changes in Star Wars" panel with none, msycamore, Harmy, and Zombie.

And Frink would have his own panel, consisting of him hiding behind an office chair and conducting interviews with sock puppets. ;-)

Denver?  Bitches be crazy.  It's all about Los Angeles!  There's plenty of movie palaces that are dying out there and would do anything for somebody to rent them here.  Haha, just saying - never mind the fact that it's the most convenient place for me.

What if we started with a series of small meetups?

People who live in the same cities or states can get together first. If that goes well, we can look at something bigger.

Also, I want to come to all those panels, so that's pretty good. Not that we're big enough for panels.
