Sorry George, if you're referring to the 3D release of Phantom Menace, Darth Vader isn't in it...or wait....is this your way of telling us that he WILL be in the movie in the 3D release....lol....I suppose at this point it's highly likely.

I'm surprised a classic villian won something like that, most of these cable awards shows are dominiated by Twilight and Transformers.

Anyone find the adolescent screaming of Christensen's "I hate you" even more pronouncedly garish and un-Star-Warsy when put side by side with the OT?

Well, on the good side the prelogy bits don't mix at all with the trilogy ones.
(...what? Three different directors bring more unity than one?)
I was channel surfing the other night and caught the part where Lucas came out and gave the award to Darth Vader. It was pretty painful to watch as Lucas was only there to promote the 3-D movies, as that was the only thing he said.
Although Vader did mention about Lucas changing the movies and adding in more CGI!

he never does anything without having a good reason. at least he's lost his pathetic faux anti-establishment grandstanding and is fully embracing that he's in the franchise business first and foremost.
Funny thing is how everyone laugh and clap when Vader mocks the special edition changes, but then when Lucas enters, everyone is like, oh, Lucas is there, I guess I should continue to clap.
I suppose his presence had two meanings:
- Making him looking smart enough to mock himself about his digital changes; like when he got his "Han-shot first" T-shirt.
- And yes, to promote the 3D release.
Heres my thought from another thread.
Saw "Darth Vader" on the Scream awards last night. He won for Ultimate Villain. The film montage had mostly OT clips with a few Ep.3 shots of Anikin. The entire event was lame as usual, but I found Vaders acceptance speech kinda funny. He mentioned hating all the constant changes and remarked that he wouldn't be surprised to see an ewok in the deathstar trench next time. Then George showed up as if to show the world that not even a guy dressed and acting as Darth Vader clamoring for the originals and a huge auditorium of cheering fans will change his mind about deleting the originals and continuing to add silliness to the films. blah.

Perhaps "Yipeee!" would be more appropiate? Afterall I don't think Vader ever said "that's so wizard", only his friend did, right? It's been years since I've watched TPM even if it's the prequel I hate less.
