I've seen that before and have considered it. The only thing, though is you are going to have another actor change in Bruce Banner when the Avengers comes out. I hate to "explain" one actor change and not the other. I almost think it might be better to keep it more as the elephant int the room. Everyone knows it, but no one talks about it. :-) That's not to say that I won't change my mind if a plausible solution comes along.
