Ok, I have finally decided to let the white static dirt in frame stay, sorry but my computer is simply not up to the task, it would've been nice but those 15 minutes will at least be more pleasing to the eyes than the NTSC transfer was, the bad cropping actually bothered me more than the dirt.

I mentioned it earlier in the thread, why does the opening titles on the LD-transfers seem to be a little bit stretched compared to the DVD transfer, well it seems the aspect ratio on the LD's was a little bit off, take a look at the circles on the LD in this example:

Haven't checked if this is consistent throughout the film yet but it will be corrected. I don't know how usual this was in the early days of letterbox transfers. I recently discovered that my Empire SWE LD seem to have slightly incorrect aspect ratio in places as well, but we all know the issues with the first film in that set.
