Does anyone here have just the color-corrected (no edits) HD Broadcast of the 97 SE's (the blu-ray sized ones) and may be willing to work something out so that someone like myself could have and enjoy them?

I don't have a Blu-ray burner but I'd prefer the larger sized ones over the AVCHD for my own viewing pleasure.

Thanks....

:)

Actually, there was  no 97 SE HD broadcast. And I think Wookiegroomer released some BD sized versions of the 2004 SE with some basic colour correction. The thing is though that the largest HDTV capture of SW available is under 20GB, so blowing it up to BD is kinda pointless. If you're looking for a larger sized file, there is Ady's ESB (which is a colour corrected reconstruction of the 97 SE) as a 16GB mkv but I don't know about anything else. But believe me, a 50GB BD is a really pointless download right now.

Harmy,

Thanks for the response.  For some reason I thought the HD broadcasts were the 97 SE and I'm not sure why.  Maybe I've just read to many threads concerning the HD broadcasts that I got lost...........stranger things have been known to happen to me.

I have Ady's ESB in AVCHD.  As for the Bluray, I guess I was referring to the 16GB versions of the broadcasts.

I'll have to try and get DJ's discs and check them out.

Thanks again....

:)

I'm a big fan of Adywan's color corrected The Empire Strikes Back. Since Adywan removed Greedo shooting first in the A New Hope HD version, maybe he could remove the Vader going back to his shuttle sequence. Also restore the line of dialogue "Bring my shuttle." Or maybe remove Luke's yell while he's plummeting down the big shaft in Cloud City. Or maybe remove the sound of Luke's saber turning off while he's running out of the Wampa cave. I have nothing but the greatest respect for Adywan and what he's done. I mention these things because  they take me away from enjoying the film. These changes sound simple to me at least. :), If I'm asking for something that I have no bother asking then you all have every right to flame me to death, especially you Adywan.

Yeah, all these changes you described are kept because Ady's AVCHD is a 97SE reconstruction but as Tobar said, you should check out Ady's DVD 1980  reconstruction or if you want 1080p AVCHD, check out my PARTLY DESPECIALIZED EDITION, it has all the scenes you describe changed back plus a few more.

I have already downloaded Adywan's ESB theatrical reconstruction. Your edit has the HD footage with the upscaled theatrical footage, I want a whole HD experience. With the minor tweaks to the '97 SE HD version will allow me to watch the whole movie in HD with less of the annoying Special Edition moments.

Corrected in bold.

That's cool. I guess I just misinterperated your tone. Happens all the time on the internet!

Does anyone have the files for Episode IV ?

Ep. 2 and 3 are cancelled now (is that why the sample file is no longer available)? Where have I been... (granted, I'd much rather see you finish ESB:R and ROTJ:R, but still!)

The link to the sample file is broken. Anybody got a backup?

I'm also curious what footage from AOTC was in it and how long was it?

If the Episode II thing was cancelled that's our only glimpse into HD Episode II

(until September, but then we will STILL compare them).

Yeah, and these broadcasts have been online for ages (since like 2007 or 2008). You can DL Episode II and III in HD, no problem.

Adywan,

Have you thought about possibly applying your color correction changes to the Blu-rays once they're released?  I've seen some of the discussion over at blu-ray.com but I figured this is a better place to discuss edits.

It's a possibility because i will be using these for my edits. But it all depends on what these films look like on the Blu-Rays so i wouldn't know until i have seen them

I said it over on fe.org and I'll reiterate it here, these are by far my preferred version of the OT restorations!

You did an awesome job Ady; and I'm patiently waiting for the release of restores AVCHD ROTJ :)

Ady Superb work, A million thanks as usual! :-)

Awaiting now that SE ROTJ restoration, I'm sure it will be wonderfull!

But now that this project it's about to end. There's a question that comes to my mind.

Now that the AOTC Blu-Ray it's been released with the color fucked (as everybody knows a it's a bit turned to green)

Will be any chance in the future to recover the AOTC project and release it in proper way with the original color corrected?

So looks like these are going to be rather different from what's coming out on Friday.

Anybody else have pauses and hiccups with Episode I (adys)?

I've tested Ady's TPM on two different blu-ray setups (stand alone and computer) and it will play video for about 2 seconds, then the screen will get distorted and "freeze" for 2 seconds, repeat.

The other AVCHD's don't do this.

Try to burn it again, maybe it's the disc... My copy it's tested and it seems ok
