I was watching Magnoliafan’s Phantom Menace edit, and I really loved the idea of mixing spanish/french tracks to create an alien language for the Gungans. Does anyone here know how I might also accomplish that?

DVDshrink can rip the language tracks for you i believe. I tinkered with spanish, but now believe the best thing to do is a full on redub of Jar-Jar.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't some of the Gungan language in MF's edit backwards as well?
I believe so Tservo. Anywho, thank you very much mrbenja. However, my question wasn't on how to rip the language tracks, but how to alter them/combine them to give the "alien language effect."
I'm guessing you could do something with the tracks in Audacity.

Thanks a ton Frink. I'll certainly look into it.
Also, just one more quick question, I'm kind of on the fence about whether or not I'm going to end up dubbing the Nemoidian's voices. Any thoughts regarding that?

I think all Gungans and Neimodians should be completely redubbed, They were that awful to me.

Concur. Backwards foreign language sounds like backwards foreign language.

Agreed. Also, it gives more freedom storywise. I was thinking of borrowing the whole "slave labor" concept from Magnolia's edits, in which case I may HAVE to re-dub them.
Perhaps to minimise the amount of subtitles the general rule could be that aliens speak alien to each other but English to humans.
You don't want a Star Wars film to be a reading experience (that's what Star Wars novels are for).

I'm gonna do that for droids, but not for the Nemoidians and the Gungans.
