If you guys think I am a troll fine that's your opinion. But getting mad and complaining about the original cuts of the OT not being on the blu-ray is not going to get them on blu-ray any faster. They will be out on blu-ray someday it just won't be right now.

Sure, you're right: The BD might be the best home release of the StarWars hexalogy - but that's the problem! They should look and sound best - not just 'ok'.
Lucasfilm and it's corresponding companies once set the standard for presentation quality (and forcing those upon others) and now everything they do feels sloppy and half-assed - even the material George Lucas claims to care about.
LFL is not a bad company some of you on this forum think they are and no I don't work for them like some you say.
No they aren't a bad company. They just don't do as best they can. In my eyes that makes them lazy.
fair enough Master Sifo-Dyas but LFL is not lazy they corrected some issues on the blu-rays not all mind you but some.

I understand and I've said it so many times that fans want the original versions of the OT on blu-ray the way it was originally release in 77 , 80 and 83. But I ask what else can we do to get them on blu-ray beside online petitions and so on? And will it take 4K when it finally comes in the home market for those cuts to be released on blu-ray?
What we can do is continue to be angry about it, and what you can do (and I understand that this could come across as hypocrisy here) is change the damn record!
Being angry about it won't solve anything. I'm not angry about it sure I would like to have them the UOT released on blu-ray someday but it is not a deal breaker for me.

Yes, they did not fix everything they were able to fix. And the things they did fix are merely patched up.
As I said: They don't work to the best of their ability. That makes them, lazy.

About LFL - either they are indeed a bad company consisting of bunch of amateurs or they are fucking liars (lairs, for mentally challenged). These are the only two possible explenations of their (mostly Lucas') claim that the cleaned up original footage has been altered without backing up the original form. Who does that? Someone, who has no clue what they are doing.

You must understand that we don't want the original movies just because that's what we happened to see first. It's because they were/are the movies.
The movies that were beloved and inspiring to fans. The movies that were so successful that Lucas was able to make two sequels and earn billions of dollars. The movies that won awards. Those original movies were/are Star Wars.
Imagine if Spielberg went back to Jaws and replaced the shark with a new CGI shark. First time watchers might love it. They might think the original is boring in comparison. Even some older fans might also think it's pretty cool. But nobody should pretend for a moment that it's still exactly the same movie. The work that went into the original shark, the awards, the movie that existed for several decades would be changed.
Do you see how this is not only about nostalgia? It's not just about preferring the version we happened to see? It's about what the movie actually is.
And it certainly doesn't help that Lucas declares the original actual Star Wars movies somehow obsolete or incomplete and not worth re-releasing to the public. It also doesn't help when so many of his additions and changes look out of place and poorly done (as much as you might like them). What Lucas does is disrespectful to his fans and to cinematic history. Lucas is free to make a billion changes with each release, but nothing will change the fact that Star Wars were the films released in 1977, 1980, and 1983 (not in 1997 or 2011).
