Qui-gon, Obi-wan, Watto, Shmi, Duel of the Fates (music and lightsaber action), real film including grain, the battle droids (when they aren't talking), the score, Ric Olie...there's a lot I like about TPM. I wouldn't have bothered with TRM if I didn't find some redeeming qualities to TPM.

I'd much rather watch TPM than AOTC any day. And maybe ROTS too.

Having said that, fan edits definitely cloud my judgement. It's easy to forgive Jar-Jar when I'm watching a version that cuts him out as much as possible.
